Common scams
The five pitches that steal the most bitcoin — all old cons wearing new clothes.
In plain words
Nearly every bitcoin scam is one of five plots. Giveaways: "send one, get two" — no one doubles money. Fake support: "tell us your seed words" — no honest company asks. Steady-return platforms: they pay old victims with new deposits, then vanish. Online "friends" steering you to a fake exchange. Copycat wallet apps. The costumes change. The plot never does: your coins, or your words.
Why it matters
- Bitcoin does not reverse. Prevention is the only protection there is.
- Every pitch has a tell: guaranteed returns, urgency, or any ask for seed words.
- Learn five plots and the hundredth variation cannot touch you.
